Flamenco shoemaker? More info please

I've heard that there's a shoemaker in town who makes custom Flamenco shoes. Anyone who knows more - can you contact me with details? flamencoedmonton-at-telus.net. Gracias.

Hola, todos. The shoemaker in town who makes custom flamenco shoes can be found at Wallace Shoe Making Shop and Alterations at 9610 - 76 Avenue (432-7041). I've bought two pairs of shoes from him - my first black pair which I'm still wearing six years later, and a custom white pair that I rarely wear, but they're also good. These shoes are sturdy more than pretty, they're quite expensive (about $240.00 a pair), and sometimes the wait for them is longer than you might want (a month or more). I've been happy with my shoes, but I know others have had some trouble with them fitting properly. It took a few 'stretchings' for my first pair to fit just right(which Wallace doesn't charge you for), and even then, I had to break them in. I've had them re-heeled and re-nailed, twice, so if anyone needs their current shoes re-nailed or whatever, Wallace does that, too.

For me, it's a toss up between utility, price, and looks. The last pair of shoes I bought were much less expensive and from Flamenco World.

Yeah...ditto on Suzenym's comments. I've got two pairs of shoes from him that did me well, but one of them took forever to get right. But I do find he'll work really hard to get a good fit. I'm going to try some spanish made shoes soon though so I have something to compare them to...
