Join us in the Winspear lobby for Alberta Culture Days this Saturday September 30th where Vancouver’s Stephanie Pedraza will be giving a mini flamenco dance class from 12:10 – 12:40.
Stephanie will demonstrate some basics of flamenco dance including arm work, floreo or hand movement, rhythms and hand clapping as well as marking steps. Participants will have the chance to practice these learned elements in a short choreography. All levels and ages welcome. No experience necessary.
On Saturday, September 30th, the Winspear Centre’s main lobby will come alive with sound and colour, as they present a full day of performances and interactive workshops representing musical traditions from around the world. Performers will be presenting from Edmonton Opera, Edmonton Flamenco Festival’s guest teacher Stephanie Pedraza, Vohon Ukrainian Dance ensemble, Ballet Mexico Lindo, Sangea Academy, and more.
