Guia del Flamenco Telematica - Telematic Flamenco Guide

The Telematic Flamenco Guide has reappeared after a period of absence and is worth a re-post. The Guide, produced by Tourismo Andaluz in collaboration with the Biennial Flamenco Exhibition, is a good starting point for information about Flamenco history and forms (palos). The site also includes audio samples by geographic region.

Note: the site's feature to use the alphabetical list by clicking on the first letter of the song form (at the top of the page) often doesn't work properly. E.g. if there are no results for forms that start with "T" (there should be listings for Tangos, Taranta, Tientos, etc.), go back to the beginning of the list and use the forward arrows (">>") to scroll through the pages.

Deflamenco.com

In addition to the sites flamenco-world and esflamenco, which have already been discussed, deflamenco is a Spanish site with an on-line flamenco magazine, lists of resources, photographs, interviews, and flamenco products.

Historical Recordings - Flamenco y Universidad

Phenomenal database of historical recordings on the Flamenco y Universidad site from the Universidades de Andalucia.

Click on "Grabaciones" at the bottom left, then scroll down & click on "Acceso a la Base de Datos de Discografías". Searchable by song form, artist, etc.

Centro Andaluz De Flamenco

The Centro Andaluz de Flamenco (Andalusian Flamenco Centre) located in Jerez de La Frontera, is a service of the Consejería de Cultura of the government of Andalusia. The centre is dedicated to Flamenco research, promotion, teaching, collection, and conservation. On-site services include a library, graphic archives, video screening area, etc.

The centre's site features links, lists of organizations, a flamenco magazine, learning activities, and databases of Flamenco information.

Didactica del Flamenco is an excellent website produced by the Junta de Andalucia Ministry of Education with Spanish-language flamenco curriculum materials. Includes units on major Flamenco forms including rhythms, history, and lyrics.

Flamenco-world.com is a well-established Spanish site with both Flamenco merchandise and Flamenco information. The What is Flamenco section includes Flamenco history, a Flamenco dictionary, an artists encyclopedia, articles, and guides. The site also includes a new free audiovisual database of video clips filmed at Flamenco festivals.

Esflamenco.com

Esflamenco.com has a huge selection of music, DVDs, shoes, and other Flamenco paraphernalia. Esflamenco ships to Canada using DHL courier within about 5 working days. Note that additional duty charges may apply.

The Esflamenco.com site also has Flamenco information and a large collection of Flamenco music and dance videos viewable from the site. Videos range from contemporary music videos to historical clips.
