Flamenco workshops with Deborah Ibach:
June 20, 21, 22 (W/Th/F) and

Beginner – Intermediate (1st hour each day):
New this year !
For the Beginner to Beginner-Intermediate level dancer.
Note: Some previous flamenco experience is required.
Technique / Choreography (Colombianas)
Bata de Cola workshop (2nd hour each day):
Targeted to the dancer at Intermediate level or higher.
Previous bata experience not required.
Content tailored to needs of the class.
Note: although it is obviously preferable to have a bata, it is not a requirement for the class. If you do not have a bata, try bringing a regular pair of sports ankle weights to the class (as they are useful to increase strength and simulate the weight of the bata).
Intermediate-Advanced Technique/Choreography
(3rd hour each day):
Technique (feet, turns, coordinating arms+feet, etc) / Bulerias de Jerez
Classes will be held at the same times each day as follows:
6:30 – 7:30 pm - Beginner-Intermediate
7:30 – 8:30 pm - Bata de cola
8:30 – 9:30 pm - Intermediate-Advanced
All classes at Vinok Dance Studio: 11727 Kingsway
$20/hr
set of 6 classes: $110
set of 12 classes: $200
Ongoing weekly classes July – August:
To follow workshop depending on degree of interest.
Tentative structure:
Beg - Inter:
Technique / Extension of Colombianas choreography but with introduction of the abanico (fan)
Bata de Cola:
Ongoing technique/pasos tailored to needs of the class
Inter - Adv:
Emphasis on technique. Work with manton if there is interest.
