I have just stumbled upon this incredible Italian resource for flamenco letras.
http://depaloenpalo.wordpress.com
Letras are divided by palo and region with multiple examples given in both text and audio. Even if you don't understand Italian, the information is clear with letras written in bold or italicized text and audio provided by youtube clips. Often a discography or links for further study are listed at the bottom of a palo's page.
A very in-depth look into cante flamenco. Ole!
(If you just attended Stephanie Pedraza's tangos cante workshop, there's a page all about Tangos de El Titi, including the videos she referenced of Miguel Poveda and Esperanza Fernandez - http://depaloenpalo.wordpress.com/2012/10/05/tangos-de-sevilla-tangos-de-el-titi-de-triana)

FLAMENCO...AS DANCE, MUSIC, and LITERATURE!
FEATURED will also be a performance by flamenco dancer, Jane Ogilvie and flamenco guitarist, Nyles Varughese.
OPEN and free admission to the PUBLIC, with coffee and refreshments to follow the reading and performance.
About The Tattooed Witch: "When Miriam Medina and her father are accused by the Inquisition of murdering a high priest, Miriam knows justice is impossible. Their accuser, the Grand Inquisitor, is in fact, the real murderer. Miriam's only hope is to resort to her long dead mother's magical legacy: the resurrection of the dead through a magical tattoo."
Set in a world very much like Spain in 1550, psychically gifted Miriam Medina narrowly escapes the Inquisition, only to run head-long into her mother's people. Within their midst, she finds her destiny through magic, love, and flamenco.

Dancers wanted - Feb 2013
We are looking for a flamenco dancer/dancers who could possibly help with a fundraising event for our school trip to Nicaragua. The students will be participating in building of a house in Cinco Pinos.
We will be hosting an evening of entertainment on February 23. The evening will consist of a silent auction, live art, entertainment and and a cash bar. We would love to have a flamenco dancer (s) to come and show of the beauty of Flamenco. We will have approximately 200 guests so it is also a great opportunity to promote yourself.
If you are interested please please contact Tara at
